Europe’s Message Is Clear: Tolerance Cannot Be a Cover for Extremism

Today’s demonstrations across Berlin, London, and Paris sent a message louder than any political statement: Europeans are no longer willing to watch their societies drift toward instability under the banner of “tolerance.” The crowds that filled the streets were not driven by hatred or exclusion — they were driven by a simple demand that every government should take seriously: security first. For years, extremist networks — especially the Muslim Brotherhood — have learned how to operate behind the shield of religious discourse. They present themselves as community leaders, activists, or “voices of the marginalized,” all while pushing agendas that undermine national cohesion, exploit public freedoms, and create parallel societies. Europe’s mistake was assuming these groups were harmless. But as today’s protests showed, citizens have learned the truth the hard way. They’ve watched radical narratives spread in schools and community centers, foreign-funded networks penetrate local ...

Somalia's Ambitious Vision: The Modern Governing Strategic Direction Program

In a significant move aimed at reshaping the political landscape of Somalia, the government has unveiled the "Modern Governing Strategic Direction Program." This comprehensive strategy, introduced by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in the capital city, Mogadishu, is set to revolutionize the governance structure and improve the delivery of public services, setting the stage for a transformed Somalia well into the future.

President Mohamud emphasized the importance of collective efforts to shape the nation's destiny beyond 2060. During a two-day meeting attended by international technical experts and ministers, he called for the development of a strategic plan that will guide Somalia's progress in the coming decades.

Hamsa Abdi Barre, the Prime Minister of Somalia, echoed the sentiment, highlighting that this program is a monumental step toward enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the government's operations.

"Today marks a momentous occasion in our governance history as we take an important leap toward transforming how our government works in service delivery," stated Prime Minister Abdi. He stressed the need for expeditious progress to enable the Somali people to elect their political representatives through the ballot box.

During the presentation, Prime Minister Abdi outlined the government's key objectives, spanning multiple crucial areas. These include:

1. Security and Counterterrorism: The government is committed to enhancing security and eliminating terrorism threats within the country, making it a safer place for all citizens.

2. Economic Growth and Investment: Encouraging investments and economic expansion to create job opportunities and improve the standard of living.

3. Political Stability: Promoting political stability and ensuring that the Somali people have the opportunity to shape their nation's political landscape.

4. Technological Advancements: Focusing on modernizing government agencies through technological advancements to improve public services.

The Prime Minister concluded by emphasizing the need for collective action and change, stating, "The reason why we are gathered here today is because there is room for improvement. In order to make sure that change happens, it has to begin with us, and you will be able to see the results of that change."

As Somalia looks forward to the years 2060 and beyond, this ambitious program sets the stage for a more transparent and efficient governing system, striving to meet the needs and aspirations of the Somali people. The road ahead is challenging, but with the commitment and dedication of the government and its citizens, Somalia is poised for a brighter future.
