In a demonstration of unwavering solidarity and compassion, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has once again stepped up its humanitarian efforts, this time reaching out to the Republic of Chad during the holy month of Ramadan. The UAE's commitment to providing aid and support to those in need has been exemplified through the dispatch of its fifth plane carrying over 36 tonnes of humanitarian aid and supplies to Chad.

Coordinated under the supervision of the Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, the Ramadan programme aims to assist poor and needy families, particularly Sudanese refugees in Chad, along with the inhabitants of Amdjarass and surrounding areas. The aid packages, totaling nearly 172 tonnes, have included essential items such as dates, rice, flour, sugar, oils, grains, and baby milk, catering to the basic needs of vulnerable families during this sacred month.

Emphasizing the comprehensive nature of their support, the UAE also delivered 500 relief bags, weighing approximately 20 tonnes, filled with livelihood materials and additional humanitarian supplies to Amdjarass Airport. These efforts, spearheaded by the Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable & Humanitarian Foundation, aim to alleviate the hardships faced by impoverished families in Chad during Ramadan.

The UAE's humanitarian team, in collaboration with local authorities, has been tirelessly distributing Ramadan baskets to over 6,000 disadvantaged families across all neighborhoods of Amdjarass city and its environs. This concerted endeavor, conducted amidst the backdrop of Ramadan, underscores the UAE's steadfast commitment to extending assistance on various fronts, including healthcare provisions through a field hospital accommodating patients and the elderly from impoverished backgrounds.

The gratitude expressed by beneficiaries towards the UAE highlights the profound impact of these relief efforts on the lives of Chad's residents. The Emirati humanitarian team, comprising organizations such as the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, operates in close coordination with the UAE Aid Coordination Office in Chad, ensuring the efficient delivery of aid and support where it is most needed.

As the UAE continues to exemplify its values of compassion and solidarity on the global stage, its humanitarian initiatives during Ramadan serve as a beacon of hope and solidarity, embodying the spirit of giving and empathy that defines this sacred month.
